Jamal, I have WE 6. If I understand correctly, while in filedir, pressing alt-apostrophe should read the contents of the clipboard. When I press alt-apostrophe, WE says apostrophe, followed by the contents of the clipboard. I have the latest filedir, 1.7. When I first tried this, I had nothing in the clipboard so Filedir just said, apostrophe.

A Window-Eyes 6.0 user has reported that enhanced speech messages are not being produced with TextPal, e.g., the Quote Clipboard command, Alt+Apostrophe, for querying current text on the clipboard. I do not have Window-Eyes 6.0 yet. From my testing, the problem does not occur with Window-Eyes 5.5, either in TextPal or FileDir, which uses the same technique for producing enhanced speech messages via the APIs of Window-Eyes or JAWS. Would any Window-Eyes 6.0 users on this list let me know whether they get enhanced speech messages with TextPal, http://www.EmpowermentZone.com/palsetup.exe or FileDir, http://www.EmpowermentZone.com/dirsetup.exe Thanks, Jamal ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:guispeak-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** guispeak-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:guispeak-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** guispeak-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq -- No virus found in this incoming message.
