I know about narrator but it works only after windows is installed, it does not work when one boots from the cd right? I want speech when I boot to installation or reparation or recovery console, any help thanks.

Try narrator -- I don't remember the hotkey to bring it up, but try windows
key+u
Ok, I just tried it -- Windows+U brings up the utility manager which
contains 3 utilities on my xp pro machine -- there is on-screen magnifier,
narrator and onscreen keyboard. Narrator starts talking so you will be able
to identify all of this.
It is a bit sketchy but does the job.
Good luck.

Hello all!
Is there a way to make a dvd or cd whatsoever with preloaded screenreader
like jaws or hal so as to say in order to start windows installation with
speech through a usb headset in case windows doesn't start because of a
missing or corrupt file like it happened to me yesterday and I needed a pair
of eyes to press r for repair etc?
Any help or ideas on how to make repairs to windows in critical situations
without reinstallation is welcome, thanks.
