Version 1.6
Released January 20, 2007

Pressing Enter on a file item now invokes the default action of its type,
which is generally, but not always, the Open action. For example, an
application may have set the default action to Edit or Play instead. The
Context Menu, Shift+F10, lets you choose among available actions for the
current file type/extension.

FileDir now automatically refreshes a directory view if you return to it
from another window. Thus, if you copy or move a file to a directory
being viewed in another window, and then return to that window, the file
will appear in its directory view.

Increased speed of FileFind command, Alt+Shift+F, when only the names, but
not contents, of files are searched. Made FileDir announce the number of
items in a directory view when it is activated. Modified the filter
confirmation prompt so that it asks whether to clear a filter if no items
match it. Added the Current Time command, Alt+Semicolon, to query the
current time and date.

A new capability permits FileDir to be invoked instead of Windows Explorer
when an application asks Windows to open a folder view. The result of the
shortcut in the FileDir program group off the Start Menu has been extended
to associate FileDir with folders as well as zip archives. Another
shortcut clears these associations, restoring the default behavior of
Windows Explorer.

If you installed FileDir 1.5, remember that you can upgrade with the
Elevate version command, F11.
