Hi Senn. Tell him to get a box of polyfilla costs one pound for big box in pound shop and stop his privalages it has taken him too long, i will make you laugh on the end of this email. i taught my children to decorate, they now do it for me, this is what i taught them. day one. wet four walls with warm water that has washing up liquid in. then wet again walls one and two. scrape off wall one, then wet wall three. scrape off wall two, then wet wall four. scrape off wall three and four. washing up liquid and warm water seeps through the paper and dissolves the glue paste underneath and peels off easiy. next dissolve a packet of sizing and size the walls, this is good to do before decorating. should not have any holes or cracks, but if you have then polyfill them. paint ceiling. sweep up rubbish and wash paintwork like skirtings, door and windowsill. day two. gloss wood work and leave to dry. day three. paint or wall paper walls and leave to dry and settle. day four. lay carpet. move furniture back in. in my other house, my children and their friends helped me, i had anaglypter wallpaper, they painted the gloss work, they were coming back in two days time to finish off, the next morning, i felt around the room, there was a step ladder in the corner and my solid wood high back stool with a tin of paint on and paint brushes, me being a little impatient and because there was a big tin of paint with lid that was not on tightly and it was at my height, as i cannot bend or climb, so without thinking i picked up the big paintbrush and dipped it in the paint and painted the middle of the wall, i thought they only have the top and bottom and edges to do, i was in high heaven painting, maybe a bit slower than the norm, but i was having a go even if it was like a strip through the middle, then on the second wall the tin of paint fell on the floor, oops, i went and got a sweeping brush, the floor was flat and thought oh well the floor will match the walls, i had ear ache from them when they saw what i had done, cannot leave things alone, they said, always the same, blahdy blahdy blah i thought, anyways it was fun. vanessa. -----Original Message----- From: Sennjan Kadir - Email Address: senn.kadir@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent On: 02/08/2012 09:58 Sent To: Guide Chat - Email Address: guide.chat@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [guide.chat] decorating Morning all, there isn't much news to tell you about the decorating but thought I would bring you all up to date like I said I would. There is no sign of someone coming to do the plastering under the window. I think dad is waiting for my nephew to do it, he's away on holiday at the moment. Dad has decided that it would be better to put paper on the wall then paint it, I don't mind either way. He has done one wall so far. Will let you know more as it happens. Senn.
