Hi Clare, Nice to meet you! I miss the vision but yet know that God has a reason for it and thus cope with it. One of teachers in the adjustment to blindness school once told me you are not blind, but rather have to see things differently. She was blind since 6. I have gradually come to understand her statement. We hear concern in peoples' voices rather than seeing it on their face. We feel the tenderness of a lover's caress or a caregiver's ministration to an injury or need. God is faithful not to give us more than we can handle. I am made weaker that I may more fully rely on the strength of almighty God and receive a fuller measure of blessing from him. I can do all things through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. Thank You, David L. Yes you have a point there. As I have been blind from birth I have never seen anything so don't know what I'm missing whereas anyone who has had sight in the past and has lost their sight gradually knows what they are missing so it must be awful for them in that way as they have to adapt to a new way of life whereas anyone totally blind from birth like me doesn't know any different so I do have some advantages there for sure.
