Indonesia Earthquake Today 2012 Strikes Near Philippines

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) ? A strong Indonesia earthquake today 2012 was felt in the
Philippines. The Indonesia earthquake today March 22, 2012 did not prompt a
tsunami alert, officials confirm to news. The quake struck during rush hour
this morning. No reports of injuries have yet to be documented by local news.
A 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia today, USGS reports to news. The
quake Thursday, March 22, 2012 shortly before 8:30 am local time. The quake,
however, had a moderate depth. USGS reports to news that the quake?s epicenter
was centered roughly sixty miles below the earth?s surface. The quake was
centered barely, however, out to sea. Reports put the quake just slightly into
the Philippine Sea.
USGS reports to news the quake struck roughly one hundred fifty miles north
east of Manado, Sulawesi, Indonesia. It also struck less than two hundred miles
southeast of Mindanao, Philippines. The quake was centered southeast of Manila,
officials confirm.
In related news, an earthquake struck shortly after midnight today in Hawaii.
The Hawaii earthquake was centered near Kalaoa and Holualoa, officials tell
news. USGS indicates to news that the quake was twenty-six miles west of
Kalaoa, Kailua, and Holualoa. The quake was also reportedly eight-six miles
from Hilo and less than one hundred fifty miles southeast of Honolulu. No
reports of damage have to be reported by local news.
