When I got back to the training centre I was approached by the training manager
he told me that someone had already told him about the incident at the steam
rally, I told him what had happened as he asked for my version of what went on,
when I told him he said "right that's it she has to go," then he said I could
try a halty with her but it would only solve the problem one per cent, of
course I told him that was not good enough as the trainer who trained us had
been out to see us only the week before and I told him about the escaping from
the garden and he could not work out how she was doing it, also I told him
about other things that she was up to, he told me I should nip it in the bud
and correct her as soon as I thought she was going to do something, I told him
I didn't get any warning he said of course you do all dogs give some
indication when they are about to do something, then he asked if he could walk
her in harness himself without me there, I told him he was welcome to and when
he came back to me he was very red in the face and said I have to apologize to
you as you said you don't get any warning I have never seen a dog move so fast
in all my life,
a couple of weeks after the steam rally Guide dogs had their open day at Exeter
and there was a service at Exeter Cathedral as soon as Greeta saw the other
dogs she started as soon as one came too near to her,then during the service
one of the other dogs started to bark and a few others joined in, someone
thought it was Greeta who had started it but on this occasion it was not,
when we went back to the centre some of us went to the fund raising managers
office to have lunch it was those of us who were working at the fund raising
that afternoon, there were about four dogs in the office Greeta being one of
them, she took over the bed that belonged to Zeus and every time one of the
other dogs tried to get to it to pick up a toy she saw them off,
one of the dogs managed to get a teddy but dropped it in the water bowl and
then picked it up and dropped it in my lap, needless to say it was a quick dash
to the window to wring the water out of it,
During that afternoon one of the kennel girls came to collect Greeta as we
thought being as she was going back anyway it would be a good time to leave her
in the kennels it would save someone coming to pick her up from home, I was
very sad to see her go but we had to part company for safety sake, the
following Monday morning I had a phone call from another trainer who had a dog
who they thought would be good for me, they arranged to bring him the next day,
