yes sports day is good infact if you remember the sack races at schools wow 
that was great fun back in the 70's it was so much funn i always ended up last 
hhahahahaha typical 
the egg and spoon race was great fun too oh i won one time won a prize got 
token to spend in our sweet shop in school 
happy times vanessa 
Remember my parents coming to sport day and my auntie and uncle and grandma too 
all cheering me on 
That is when i had to run to other side of field changed in to trousers and 
shirt mens though hahahehehehehe 
great fun as we did that had to run back to other end 
oh it was great fun lovely hot summers day too infact in the 80's wow sweating 
cobs that day although in my shorts and vest school ones though 
 

I was good at netball though mum and dad bought me one for our garden wall in 
back garden me and julie and our friends all played netball in saturday 
afternoons

Vanessa did you know you can still buy them net ball basket and brackets 
nowdays from Argos stores?
I was crazy at table tennis too mum and dad ought us all one for the garden in 
summer had low net across the table oh wow loved it to bits 
you see,happy times as a child but nowdays children don't want to do all that 
shame really 
we used to play shuckle cock over our washing line we had bats each shueckle 
cok is like some kind of ball but made out of feathers round bottom part quiet 
light to hit over washing line 
Also loved running round our block in our estate we had to pass a scroll to a 
child then run round the block greast times always very active then vanessa 
loved my bike too me and my friend used to ride our bikes to big bparks spends 
hours in the park 
My bike was green and yellow had basket on back loved my bike 
two weels fat tires on it my lovely birthday present off mum and dad 
loved my roller skates too red and silver ones you tie them on top like laces 
on the leather part 
you never see children skating nowdays down our avnue or playing bat and ball 
or skipping .
sad how our society has changed so much now

hello Carol, glad that you like tennis, used to watch the girls doing the 
gymnastics, bothe on the equipment such as the bars and also doing the twists 
and dancing on the mats with ribbons and hoops, it was so graceful, I wasn't 
fond of sports at school but had to do it, no good at fast running but good at 
jogging for long distances, no good at the high jump but brilliant at the long 
jump, brill at doing the discus and javelin, used to play tennis, netball and 
rounders but my best game was hockey, played in the secondary school team, it 
was nice to keep fit, used to do a lot of cycling and horse riding as well, had 
a riding school in our village so was there every day, didn't have money for my 
own horse but the lady used to give me a free ride out sometimes for all of the 
help that I gave her, anyway haven't forgotten about the cd magazine, it is 
being copied this week so will let you know when it is in the post, take care
