Hi Dave

Although I receive my broadband services from Virgin Media, I would definitely
recommend BT because their help-desk is based in the UK, you can obtain an 8mb
connection for around £16 per month and you also get x minutes free connection
to their mobile Internet.

If my own broadband weren't working perfectly then I'd probably switch to BT
myself but why fix that which isn't broken?

Cheers

Shane

Subject: [guide.chat] Service providers of E Net

HI Chatters,

time for a silly question me thinks.

for almost the past three years I have been putting up with very Mediocre
service from Tiscali.
some would say a very poor service indeed.

my Patients have just about run out with this service provider finally.
In terms of Football they are on a yellow card now.

I have send a final letter telling them what I need from them and should they
not do so I will change to someone else.

my current package is Internet and phone costing around £24 a month for both
with Land Line calls thrown in.

before anyone should say it I know about peanuts and
monkey's so perhaps would be willing to pay a little more for good service and
customer backup that I can understand.

my problem is that I cannot here all that well and Call centre Staff have not
got English as there first language which makes it very difficult to understand.

I know that there are blind computer engineers out there that can help with PC
problems but I can get that service from Software Express.

had they the ability to provide the phone and Internet service I would sign on
the dotted line without hesitation.

most of you will have your favourites and would not leave them for the world so
I would expect to receive conflicting views.
there is a difference between good and exemplary service where providers will
go out of there way to provide what you really need.

a good example of this is Software who got an award from RNIB through the see
it right campaign.

I could look at the which web page to see the top performers but recommendation
from people using a service goes much further with me.

I have thought about BT as they can provide most of what I need but at great
cost unless things have changed during the last few months.

I'll be interested to here what you all have to say

From Dave.
