Hi Ann, your right about the ladybird. They are a round shape with pointed head. The head part is black and the rest of the body is bright red with black spots. About the size of a pea. A few years ago another type of ladybird got blown over here by the wind from France. They are slightly bigger than ours and aggressive to ours and they started killing our ladybirds off. All lady birds are one colour.
