This is a great idea, Samantha. The board tried something similar at a
previous conference, but you were right in that it is a difficult task for
someone to keep up with. If it was well planned in advance, AND others were
given specific tasks that they had to follow to assist, I think it would
work.

5 PM on Thursday. The list could contain about 10 items. The items could
represent those "hard to get people involved" moments. For example:
Items 1, 2, & 3 - Photos with vendors (it will be up to the vendors to
pitch their products)
Items 4 - Photo during a session
Item 5 - Photo with a GSIS Board member
Item 6 - Photo of them posting to the WOW moment board
Item 7 - Photo with a business representatives of one of the businesses
that donated door prizes (this would require a published list somewhere)
Item 8 Photo with a DOE employee
Item 9 - Photo during breakfast
Item 10 - Photo during 4 PM session
All of the people that complete the "list" will go into a drawing for a
free conference the next year (or a coveted door prize of sorts)???? The
winner would be announced during the closing session????
Thoughts? Compiling the tweets to know who goes in the drawing might be a
bit of a challenge. But, if they are required to tweet:
"Item 1 @GSISSUSERGROUP #GSISHunt16"
...it could make it easier to go down the page of #s to find the list. I
would be willing to contribute my time if it will help get people to
participate in those "more difficult to get participation" areas. And, the
number of items on the list is up to us. I just thought this might add a
bit more interaction.
It may be too late to incorporate this for 2016. But, 2017 will be here
before you know it.
