?We want to give everyone a quick update.
Per our last board meeting when we discussed other venue options, Donna
suggested Jekyll Island.? Since these types of decisions have to be made rather
quickly -- as in a week. We had to move fast. As our conference chair
committee person, Priscilla contacted the Conference Center in Jekyll as well
as the Westin.
The conference center recommended a small group on-site visit. Per their
suggestion we visited three different hotels; the Westin, the Hampton Inn, and
The Holiday Inn along with a tour of the conference center.
We have several pros and cons we need to discuss with the board as a whole and
we plan to do this on Tuesday after we unload at the convention center. Please
plan to be available for at least one hour after unloading at 4:00 pm.
In the meantime, we have been brainstorming with what we were presented today.
We believe we need to send a survey out to our current registered attendees.
Attached you will find the survey.
