When you say 'It places the software in alphabetical order', I presume you mean
that the GP Editor does? That's merely because the UI defaults to showing the
apps ordered by the 'Name' column. If you were to click the column 'Source'
they'd be ordered according to the MSI name. Neither has any effect on the
install order, so add them to the GP in the order as you list them below.

When you say 'Priority' do you mean 'Order'? - yes
That is, you want installations to be done in a sequence (presumbaly
you have dependencies to install before the main install)? -yes
Pls see the attached screenshot of the apps that I am trying to
install. I want to install them in the following order:
Msxml 6.0 Parser
RGB9RAST
Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1
Microsoft .Net Framework 3.0 Service Pack 1
Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5
It places the software in alphabetical order, so do I just need to
rename them to get them in the order that I want them installed?
Thanks for the response

If that's the case then, yes. Just add the packages in the order they
should be installed. Note that the editor will show them in reverse order i.e.
with the last package to be installed at the top.
There is a utility bouncing around, Assigned Software Sequence Manager
(ASSM), which you can use to force/re-order the sequence .

Ian

Is it possible to set a priority on software installation when
you have multiple assigned software installations in one (1) single GPO?
Thanks in advance
