If you require that kind of control I would suggest scripting out the process using a combination of startup/logon scripts like so: 1) Computer startup script that installs the (1) Components. After successful installation the script places a flag file (ie. C:\temp\step1complete.txt) in a predetermined location. 2) Logon script that looks for the presence of the file created by the script in Step 1. If it's there, create another new flag file (C:\temp\step2complete.txt) and then force a reboot. 3) A second startup script looks for the file created in Step 2, and if present, installs your (2) Workshare Pro application. Hi... Quick question... I have been looking around on the forums but couldnt really see an answer for this. I have 2 GP's which install software... 1. Components (Visual C++ MSI, MSXML 6 Parser MSI, .NET FW Update MSI) 2. Application (Workshare Pro) 1. needs to be installed 1st the machine, user logs in then it needs to be rebooted then 2 needs to be installed. Is the easiest way of doing this is installing 1 on day 1 and 2 on day 2 by manually assigning the GP's? or can this be automated, ie is there some sort of way of setting 1. as a pre req of 2... Or.. is this just getting too complicated.... -------------------------------------------------- Minesh Pandya Network Technical Analyst, Software Packager Barlow Lyde & Gilbert LLP Email: MPandya@xxxxxxxxx DDI: +44 (0) 20 7643 7629 Fax: +44 (0) 20 7071 9007 ************************************************************************ Barlow Lyde & Gilbert LLP Beaufort House, 15 St. Botolph Street, London EC3A 7NJ.
