Yes the machine is online, and I am logged into the domain controller
with my domain admin account. Do I have to set that account as a local
admin for it to work? Or can I just be a domain admin?

Thanks,

The machine is either not online or the account you are running GPMC
with does not have local admin rights to that system.

I tried to run the results wizard against a machine and got an error
that the RPC server is unavailable. Any ideas how to correct this?
Also I have the IE setting set under the Admin. Templates for the
computer and the user.

GPMC, GP Results Wizard generates "RSoP" data. I would run that first
and see if the policy still applies. Also, where are you setting this?
Under Admin. Templates or IE Maintenance?

Have you run an RSOP to determine which GPO (if any) your problem
machines are getting that setting from?

I have set internet explorer to "Logon with currently logged on user"
under the internet security settings. This was changed on the machines
in the domain and the setting was grayed out and could not be changed.
However now some machines are not keeping this setting and are changing
back to the default setting, and are not grayed out anymore. Can
someone help me understand y this setting is not staying set on the
machines in the GP?

Thanks,

Eric Middleton
