You could probably also use a WMI filter and Software Installation policy to
install this. You wouldn't be able to check for a reg value in the WMI filter
but you could do a NOT query on Win32_Product.

There are ways to check, but the quickest and easiest thing to do is check for
the existence of the following registry key:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppPaths\Acrobat.exe

If it is there then the full Adobe Acrobat is most likely installed. Otherwise
you are probably safe to go ahead and install the latest Adobe Reader.

Hope that helps. ☺

I would like to install Adobe Reader on all of our Domains PC's unless any
version is already installed.
I have some users that have the full version and do not want to effect that.
Does anybody have a GPO Script or startup script to do this?
