I have seen that UNC path is not recognized the computer name because it processing before any user logged on to domain.

I have used :

net use  z: \\servername\path domainusserpassword /user:domain\user.name

net use z: /delete

And its work fine.

Also enable the Run startup Scrip visible(CompConfiguration-AdminTemplate-S/m-Scripts) so that you can press the pause/break button to see any errors while executing.

I don’t believe anything is wrong with having \\server\share in a start-up script as long as the computer waits until the network adapter has started prior to processing the policy.  Perhaps set “Always wait for Network” under Computer/Admin/System Logon/Always wait for the network at computer start-up and logon

This way the network resources are available when policies are processed.

Please send the template of script. May be you are using UNC path like \\servername\share on computer startup script.
