Katy-
As a general rule, you want to avoid using any screensaver on a server that
is performance intensive. Examples of that includes the OpenGL 3D
screensaver that draw pipes and other things on the screen. I haven't
specifically tested all screensavers but my normal approach is to use the
blank screen saver on servers.

Subject: [gptalk] GPO forcing Active desktop for RDP terminal server
sessions
Does anyone here know if doing this will cause performance issues?
The MD wants ALL machines running the same active desktop and screensaver,
desktops, laptops and terminal server users using GPO to roll it out. But
I'm concerned about the performance implications of doing this on a terminal
server?
Help! J
Thank you
