Questions for you: 1. Folder redirection only occurs at logon. Are you just running gpupdate or have you done a logoff/logon since the GPO was linked? Additionally, you might need to enable the "Always wait for network at computer startup and logon" option. 2. Are the folders already there? For instance, if my username was userA, is there already a \\servername\share$\UserA folder present? 3. Have you checked both share level and NTFS permissions? You probably already know, but the most restrictive of the two will always end in effect. 4. Have you run a RSoP (Resultant Set of Policy) scan on the affected machine/user to make sure the policy is actually being received? 5. Are there any errors in the affected system's event log? Any ideas? On Thu, Jun 19, 2008 at 1:15 PM, Dave Palombi <dave.palombi@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: I did not run a gpupdate yet. The permissions are fine because they have been setup prior. The people who need permissions to their folder they will have it. We just want to make this more automated. I will run the GPUPDATE and check in with you guys. However, this does not work. What I have configured is user configuration/ windows settings/ folder redirection/ my documents/ setting: Basic (redirect everyone's folder to the same location) path:\\servername\share$\%username% Under user configuration/ windows settings/ folder redirection/ options grant user exclusive rights to my documents - enabled move the contents of my documents to the new location - enabled policy removal behavior - leave contents. I do not know why this is not working. The GP has been applied successfully but the path in the my document folder does not work.
