After delaying an hour, we got racing on a rising breeze.eventually got to 10 - 12 knots. As is often the case, boats corrected out pretty much in actual order of finish, Alexis beat Recovery by 26 seconds, and Recovery beat Rebecca by about 1 min, 50 secs. Once the big boats got some air, waterline length made all the difference. Rebecca showed she can hold her own in the light stuff, though, and will certainly have her day. Windrush II took the non-spinnaker contest, as Whisper was getting her sea legs and Odyssey took a repair day. Was a great race. Congrats to Richard and John E, and especially for John O. New boat and all, Whisper hung in there. See ya next week. John
