[gpsbug] List of Boats and Ratings

Hello,
 
Below is list of boats and current WSSC ratings.  Ratings are in seconds
per mile, Difference is always the difference between the boat and the
scratch boat.  (In this case the scratch boat is a Melges 24, which may
race).  The course is the length in nautical miles of our triangle
around White Shoal, and the mins and seconds are the delay for that
particular boat on a staggered start.  Starts are honor system, and are
based on GPS time.  (Adjusted for EDT).  So, for this fleet, if the
first start is 12:30, you will see and or hear the following signals:
 
12:20 - Warning (Yellow Flag if I have one).  Horn Blast
12:24 - One minute to Prepatory Signal (Yellow flag Drops)  Horn Blast
12:25 -  Prepatory Signal (Blue Flag if I have one). Horn Blast
12:29-  One minute to Start (Blue Flag Drops) Horn Blast
12:30 - Start (Red Flag if I have one).  Horn Blast
 
The Catalina 22 would start right at 12:30.  After that, each boat
delays the number of minutes and seconds indicated.
The Hunter 240 would go at 12:32:13, the Flying Scot at 12:33:47, and so
on until the Melges goes at 12:48:35.  Finish is boat for boat, the
Melges having "given" the Catalina 22 18 minutes, 35 seconds, and so on.
 
I will publish race instructions similar to these after I get entry
forms from the boats actually competing.  Thought you might want to see
where your boat might stack up.
