[gps-talkusers] walked home with gps

Well, today I was dropped off at the wrong stop on the way home from church so, thankfully I'd taken the gps which i considered noyt taking, so I just gave it my home address and it gave me the route home, I wasn't thatt far off, but it was still an area I didn't know and the weather just isn't conducive for just a nice walk so was sooo glad it was with me! I also used it yesterday to give a sighted friend directions since he didn;'t know where we were going and he wanted to compare it with his own gps. His wife, also a friend of mine and a partial, was also impressed with the detail it gives and how right on it is. She can see enough to use google maps, but was impressed nonethe less. ----- Original Message ----- From: <aveyard@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

I have a question about landmarks, points of interest or whatever they
are.
What is the British term for a ramp when a turn talks about a ramp on
Braillenote GPS?
I guess it has nothing to do with wheelchair access or the thing
stuntmen use to launch cars from.
