Hi,

Yes.  WE traveled from Rochester, New York to Saint Louis, MO, about 800
miles.  I got all the maps but one state on to a 1 Gig flash card.  Of
course, that included the large state of New York, so I would think that
a trip from New York City to Virginia is definitely doable.
