Good question! I'm just using mine on trains to see how accurate
it is. A couple times it thinks I am on streets but I'm really
on the rail line.

P.S. In my case, if I know I want to get off at a certain
station, and I programed that station in advance as a POI, then
I'll know where to get off. Most conductors in our area are also
supposed to announce this information as well as the route number
and number of minutes to departure.

Subject: [gps-talkusers] using gps on trains
Hi all,
I'm curious to know, how effective is gps on trains? How would
you use it? would you create a vehicle route?
