[gps-talkusers] Re: user.poi question

Thankj you very much Carl, for the assistance.
Believe me, I'm very sorry that I have to go back as well, but it's so much
better with the older version on the classic.

  Kristeen,

I am very sorry that you are having to go back to the older release.

The User POI files for Sendero GPS versions 2.0 - 3.5 are compatible. The
major difference between version 3.3 and 3.5 is that with version 3.5 both maps
and POI files are stored in the same folder.

With version 3.3 and below the maps and POI files have to be in separate
folders.

The only file that needs to be saved when going back is your user POI. I
would recommend you back up this file to be sure it is not lost. Be sure to
delete all version 3.5 maps and BPI files before installing the version 3.3
maps and BPIs. The maps and BPI files for version 3.5 and 3.3 are exclusive.
If you need to use the shared poi files go to our web site for the correct
version.

If I can be of assistance please call or email.

I would like to know what type of problems you are having with version 3.5
and the classic.

  Hello,

I had to switch back to version 3.3 of GPS because it just wouldn't run with
any speed on the Braillenote classic. I had been building a substancial POI
file with the new version of GPS and it doesn't seem to load with 3.3. Is this
accurate? Do I need to start over, or is there some way this file can be used?
