Hope,
If you just want to find out what is around your virtual or GPS position,
you can press f and just press down arrow or dot 4 to scroll down the list
of points of interest. The list is setup so that the closest points are on
the top of the list and the furthest being on the bottom. If you are wanting
to do an advance point of interest find, you can press space with f or
control with f and it iwll prompt for the starting distnace (default of 0
miles), the ending distance (default of a quarter of a mile), the category
(it will default to the last category you were searching for and if you
weren't searching for anything recently it will default to the all
category), then the next field is where you can type the name of the place
you are looking for. The key when doing an address lookup or searching for
points of interest is to type in the core name. Let's say you were searching
for Mc Donald's, just type in mc and you will find Mc Donald's.

How does one access the poi directory? I'm trying ot learn all the
commands for the GPS. <grin> Any tricks I have to look up addresses are
extremelyhelpful.

Howard, not sure what you've tried, but can you look the business up in
the
POI directory? If so, it should show the address and you could know you
were going to the right place, then create a route.
Alternatively I'd leave off the n 88 from the address and just enter the
street and number and see what you get and if it looks like the right
place
You'll be OK.
Good luck and let us know what works please?

I am trying to create a route to a job interview. Unfortunately the
address is odd and I can't figure how to find it. With out finding it
I can't make a route. Isn't that a surprise? It is n 88 17501 Main
Street Menomonee falls, Wi. How do I look up an address like that?
