The dongle comes with a sub mini jack, which allows it to plug into a cell
phone headset/mic jack. One needs an adapter to convert this plug to the
standard mini jack on the BrailleNote. If you use a straight adapter, it
is too long and could create a lever on the jack. Instead, a short cable
adapter works much better.

waiting
for the short cable adpater to go with it. That should be in any day.

It will plug into your BrailleNote audio jack and transmit the audio to

Bluetooth earpiece of your choice. It is handy for other earphone jobs
like
using an audio ATM, etc.

I don't think you want Sendero in the business of manufacturing mass
market
consumer electronics. One has to sell hundreds of thousands before they
can 
be $15 like the Radio Shack speaker.

We'll just have to hope one day one of the big manufacturers will bring
out
a small Bluetooth speaker. The other possibility would be bone
conduction
head phones. I have tried some in the past. Although they work well
because 
they don't cover your ears, they take at least 4 WATS of amplification,
twice that of the Radio Shack speaker.
If bone conduction technology improves, perhaps this will be a good
option 
in the future.

Has anyone found a source for small (1.5/2"
diameter) speakers that can be
clipped or attached to the shoulder strap?

When walking in the city I can barely hearwhat the
Mpower is saying to me,
the traffic and ambient noise level is too great
even at volume level 32.
Has anyone encountered the same problem? Trekker
has a small speaker but
first, they won't sell it to me separately and
second, they want a great
deal of money for it.?

An earphone is a possibility but I like to keep my 
ears free.
