[gps-talkusers] Re: the maps

Hi Mike,
While we're on the subject of maps, I found it rather curious that with the new maps, a number of Los Angeles freeways are listed as 2-lane and limited access.
I-10, the 605 and 101 are some examples. Why would that be?

The maps from Tele Atlas are updated for the UK. They are not written for the BrailleNote specifically. We do have to do some processing to make the format compatible but we just license their maps and prot them over. If a town is in the wrong region, that is a mistake they made and we can't change it.

I remember the maps had to be written for the braille note gps. so, maybe if we purchased from tele atlas the maps will not work on our braille notes.
