[gps-talkusers] Re: survey about the chat room

Thanks to all of you who responded on and off the list about the chat room. There is certainly enough theoritecial support to keep it going. I'll be talking with Carl this weekend to discuss the ideas you posed. We'll probably experiement with a couple approaches and see what is popular.

For those of you who said you were keeping out of the chat room so you didn't use up a slot, that has not been necessary. The room capacity is 6 and it has rarely been full. When it has, there have been 3 Sendero folks logged in.

We will try some different time slots and perhaps try monitoring for an extended period. Since we can't be in the chat room and on a tech support call at the same time, we'll have to think about how to manage our time. If any of you experienced users would like to volunteer to be a room host, write me off the list and let me know a 3 hour time slot you would be available. We could then have the room with a knowledgeable person more of the time. One of us from Sendero could monitor while handling other business and pop in with comments or answers as possible.
