I have tried a few speakers without an amplifier on the braille note and I
could not hear it above noise. But if you run on to something smaller than the
radio shack I would like to hear about it. That would be great!

There are all sorts of small speakers around in walkmen, pocket radios, even
watches etc. I think it's just a case of finding a source, there are great
numbers of them being manufactured all the time. I'll keep looking and let
yall know what I come up with. I don't think amplification is a major issue,
the Braille note has enough power to drive a small speaker. I could be wrong,
of course, but I'll follow my hunch.
Ari.
