Mike,
Other than doing a search and specifying distances for it, is there an easier
way to search the POI database? For example, if I knew there was a enbackyard
Burger in Little Rock but didn't know where, is my only option for searching
for it to (virtually) put myself somewhere in Little Rock and then just keep
expanding my search until I found it?

.Danny,
.
.There is a lot to cover with regard to setting a starting position and I
.encourage you to read the manual and audio tutorial.
.
.There are 5 ways to set a starting position. There are starting positions
.for either GPS or Virtual modes.
.
.1. In Virtual mode, you can set a starting position by moving around
.manually on the maps.
.2. You can set a starting position by address using Chord S.
.3. You can search the POI database and choose a POI as a starting or ending
.point.
.4. You can even open a route and set one of the waypoints as a starting
.position.
.5. You can set your virtual position to your GPS position and use that as a
.starting point.
.
.In GPS mode, your GPS position is your starting point. If the receiver is
.off, the last GPS position used will be retained as your GPS starting position.
