David,

There isn't a way other than being at the physical location or knowing the 
lat/lon of the location.

Could you provide a specific example of where this is occuring?

Hi, with previous versions I have been able to set my home address as a POI 
by selecting the state, city, street, and entering the street number.  Now 
if
I select my state and city, I enter my street number followed by the street 
and I receive a message offering me a different number.  I assume it's 
because
all addresses are not in the maps?  At any rate, is there a way to set an 
address that is not listed as a POI without being there and marking the 
spot?
