[gps-talkusers] resets

I hope mention of the Keysoft installation has not confused folks
about the GPS installation. Use the reset with dots 123 on the BT or
Reset with SDF on the QT when installing the GPS.
If you are installing Keysoft, make sure and read the complete
instructions as it is different and you can get yourself in trouble
if you don't follow the exact sequence.
There is no impact on the GPS from the Keysoft build 27 to their build 28.
Remember Reset with 123 or Reset with SDF for the GPS installation.

I thought you needed to do a reset with dots 1-2-3 or s-d-f to
install the new gps. Also, I thught you go to application program
and solect the program for the gps where you have it saved in a root
directory. Once you find it press enter on a qt and not sure what
it is called on a bt then just follow the promps. I have only ever
used the extens when I have been installing like the dictionary or
the nemeth code tutorial.

Craig, you firs do a 1 2 3 reset on a bt unit or a jkl reset on
qt. Then you
go under utilities, instal keysoft extention, it'll ask for a
drive, and
search for either compact flash or whatever the case may be,
it'll ask for
directory name and just hit enter, and finally it'll ask for the
keysoft
extention name and browse until you find the file that syas gps
4.22 and hit
enter, follow the promtps and once you do this, do a normal reset
and 4.22
should be installe. You may have to reactivate the receiber
through the
connectivity menu and then you can use gps again. Hope this
helps.

Where do we find the install instructions for 4.22? We have the
file app
file downloaded and as I recall you do not put it in a
directory, but in
the
root directory and then the application program will find it (on
the SD
card
in this case).
I had the instruction on my other laptop that crashed so now I'm
working
from memory and its failing me. Thanks.... Craig

Hi and thanks Charles for the quick work, especially during the
holidays! I read one email last night about a person having
problems with GPS 4.1 and the last keysoft build for 7.5 build
28. I was not aware of build 28 until then. I have not yet
downloaded and installed KS 7.5 build 28, but if I do, will GPS
4.22
work? Thanks, Jim

Subject: [gps-talkusers] GPS 4_22 Released
Hello Sendero GPS 4.2 users,
Shortly after the release of version 4.2, we discovered a couple
problems, which we have now fixed. The new version is 4.22 and
you
should download and install your serialized copy via the
mysendero
website.
This 4.22 release fixes a reset and a bluetooth connectivity
issue.
Log into your account with your serial number and password to
download your copy of GPS 4.22. This should be installed over
your
previous 4.2 or 4.2.1 version.
Remember to do the three-finger reset always required for a new
installation. That is Reset with SDF on the QWERTY keyboard or
Reset with dots 123 on the BT keyboard units.
Note: If you have a license for version 4.2 and have not yet
installed it, it is not necessary to install the older version
before installing 4.22.
Sorry for the trouble of multiple releases. We hope you
appreciate
our quick attention to fixing a bug.
All the best for the remainder of the holidays.
