I don't know how often they are changed, but if you wait for the next one, or you wait so a new one does not come out right away, then you will be waiting a long time. What I'm saying is that technology is always changing. I personally feel the M-1000 is a good choice even if a newer one comes out within a few months out. At least with the M-1000, you will be able to get years use out of it and it does not have some of the firmware and acquisitions problems that the 236 does.

How offten are receivers changed? I don't want to purchase the m1000 only to have it replaced with something newer 2 months from now. Unless I should look at the receiver from a softwhere upgrade perspective. Sometimes it is 6 months or a year before a new version is released. If it is simmilar in that regard then I can understand it. Thanks
