Hello, Khalid,
You do not understand.  What Chris was trying to say is that GPS is global, 
and you can use it anywhere even if you have no maps for the area you are 
in.  Your version number does not matter.

   you would be creating your own maps.
   by using points of interest or way points.
   this is how it worked with version 1 of the gps and i thought it was 
great back then to be able to do it that way.
