Hi Vicky,
Whoops sorry that is a bug, all sound effects including the "Continue
Straight" should not play when you have turn off all sound effects in
the GPS software. I will make that a Priority 1 and fix it in the
next release of the software.
Again my apologies, some things like that do fall through the cracks,
and bringing these issues up here in the GPS list is exactly what you
should do to either find out a work around others have discovered or
in this case bring to light a lurking bug which I will promptly squash!!
Thanks again and happy holidays!

Hi All,
Is there a way to turn off the continue straight and warning off
route messages? For, when I turn off all sounds, I still hear these
messages. And, although this is just fine when I'm using a
pedestrian route, I don't know if I want to hear them when I'm in a
cab or on the city bus, or in the car with family members for that matter.
Truthfully, I most often use the GPS to tell me where I am, as well
as to get cab drivers and others in the vicinity of where I need to
be. And, having those sounds go off at quiet times during my trips
tends to kind of discourage me from creating a route and actually
trying to follow it. Then, too, most folks I've ridden with so far
just want to know about where to go, maybe what's in the area, and
then go from there. Or, maybe it is just the way I approach the
creating a route issue that causes this.
