No problem, Mike with the price raise.
I didn't know about the gps sma!.
I'll call your office next week about it.
I'd like to see the ability to block addresses and phone numbers of POI's
andmove them into the address book.
Happy Christmas and a healthy and safe new year to you and all of your
wonderful staff.
Cordially,
Mary Ellen Earls and Peggy

Hello Listers,
I hope you all had a good new year celebration.
Sendero has been able to develop and continuously improve the BrailleNote
GPS over the past 4 years largely due to a Department of Education NIDRR
grant. In other words, users have not had to pay all the freight, so to
speak, for the very rich features and content of the GPS product so far.
The amount of federal funding has slowly declined over the course of this
five year grant and 2006 is our last year of funding. In order to provide
the features and updates you have come to expect, Sendero finds it
necessary to raise the list price of the new GPS package to $1599 as well
as some of the upgrade prices to help pay for development. The good news
is that this price will include 2 GPS upgrades. For those who have already
purchased a GPS SMA, they too will receive the two next updates. If you
wish to get these upgrades, a 2 upgrade SMA is $199. This will be
approximately $50 to $100 less than the cost of those upgrades
individually.
Remember too that Sendero sells the BrailleNote family of products. We
hope you will purchase your GPS and BrailleNote directly from us and
become part of the Sendero family. We make every effort to extend
We are just beginning beta testing of Sendero's GPS version 3.5 and hope
to have it out by March. We will divulge more about the content of this
update once we are closer to wrapping it up. We are certainly looking at
your suggestions and although we cannot include everything in this update,
there will be some excellent improvements.
I want to thank you for being on this pioneering GPS voyage with us. I
like to think of us as a small but vocal and innovative group. Let's hope
our numbers grow so the majority of blind folks can enjoy the independence
we experience every day with our GPS, and it is indeed that, our GPS.
Unlike any other, Sendero's GPS is a product of your emails and phone
calls.
All the best for the New Year.
