Hi Keith, The reason why HIMS didn't come out with a release with the 2008 maps is their development slipped and they would have released their 2008 version just before Sendero released the 2009 version, so they instead decided to wait for the 2009 version. If they went ahead and did the 2008 version then you guys would have had to pay for 2 upgrades to the 2008 and then a few months afterwards pay again for the 2009 version. I think HIMS did the right thing and waited for the 2009 version instead of forcing their customers to pay for 2 sets up map updates. Thanks Charles M. At least I believe Code Factory came out with the 2008 maps. As Charles said, in another message, other companies make other products. Possibly just possibly, HIMS in fact has too many products on the market so they have to pick and choose which product gets updated and when. SDK version 3 was released to them November 8, 2008. Speaking of patience, I've about had it. OK HIMS, just how much patience are we supposed to have? The only saving grace is that I haven't yet spent $1550 on Sense Nav which is now two versions outdated. But I did spend money on a notetaker which I thought at the time, mistakenly, I might add, that Sense Nav would be updated in a timely manner. now we've got problems with the Book Sense that need to be addressed. We've got a new pocket Sense View on the market. We've got a new Braille Sense Plus Qwerty which also took time to develop. In just a little over three weeks it will be August 8. Nine months in counting.
