[gps-talkusers] list moderation

Listers,
Please refrain from commenting on unfortunate list traffic. These troublemakers just want attention and that is exactly what they get when you comment and then I ask again to please do not react to them.
We obviously cannot prescreen listers. If they use fowl language, they will be blocked immediately. If they are rude, they will be asked privately to behave. If they persist in violating list policies, they will be blocked. This is what we have done with the most recent offender.
Typically, we have about one troublemaker per year. For some reason, we have had a couple bad ones in the past week and it could be the same person subscribing with different emails.
Please, please, do not comment when these things happen. If you just can't contain yourself, write to one of us off list. Several Sendero staff monitor this list regularly and you can know we are dealing with it the best we can without being heavy handed.
I hope I don't hear any response to my email. Then, I will know my point has been taken.
