After 7 years since the first BrailleNote version came out, we
finally have maps for New Zealand. I will be in Auckland tomorrow
night, Wednesday NZ time, for a product launch. In case someone on
this list is in NZ and hasn't heard about this yet, contact the Royal
National Foundation for details. I'll be joined by Stevie Wonder for
this celebration between his concerts in Christchurch and Auckland.
I am already having a blast using the street maps where I have only
had points of interest for several years.
I ran into a couple of the former Humanware crowd at the concert in
Christchurch. I was quite shocked when Stevie called me up on stage
in honor of my upcoming birthday as he sang his trademark Happy
Birthday song. It was pretty strange to hear 10,000 people say Mike
May in unison.
