[gps-talkusers] iPhone GPS?

I gotta give credit to Apple. When the iPhone was first released two
years ago, I figured blind people would never be able to use it. But
after hearing about the inclusion of Voice Over on the new 3GS model,
I went to the Apple Store in NYC the other day and picked one up. For
only $200 or $300, it's a heck of a lot cheaper than buying an N95
with Talks or Mobile Speak. The inclusion of maps and GPS is nice,
but I'm not sure how useful they'll be for a blind person. Can the
included maps program tell me what street I'm on and give me other
data that the Sendero GPS can give me? Are there any aps or plans to
make the GPS on the iPhone more useful and accessible to blind people?
It would be wonderful if it had an equivalent to Sendero GPS.

Eric
