Hi Mike:
Sounds great. The comments regarding the Bluetooth GPS receiver gave me
another idea that might be worth adding to your long list of projects. Do
you suppose we could get the GPS software to work on our Nokia cell phones
with Talks and the Bluetooth receiver?

Happy Thanks Giving listers.
I am enjoying my first real testing with the BrailleNote PK and GPS. Looks
like most of the kinks are sorted out and we just need to test thoroughly
now.
I am using the Bluetooth version of the Earthmate GPS receiver. It is so
cool to have a wireless GPS receiver and the PK is so small compared with
the 32 cell BrailleNote.
I'll mention some of the differences I notice so far. It really calculates
routes fast. A 500 mile route took less than 5 minutes.
You can use the media player at the same time as the GPS. So, you can
listen to the audio tutorial while running the GPS application or you could
be listening to music. Even with Look Around mo0de and repeat intersections
on and a route open, there was no sluggishness.
I enjoy being able to place the Bluetooth receiver on the dash of the car
while sitting in the back of the van, no issues of cable length. Bluetooth
is supposed to work up to 30 feet away so that makes remote placement of
the receiver convenient.
I have used my Nokia 6600 cell phone running it as a Bluetooth modem to the
PK so I could get on the Internet.
More details as I spend time with this new unit. Pretty darn cool.
