[gps-talkusers] gps perspective user

Hello Shayna,
You mentioned about going to a place in LA yo haven't been to, and by having a GPS, you're able to not only know what street you are traveling on, but also find out what's near you and use its features such as being able to get addresses and phone numbers. I don't know much about trekker, but Sendero for sure gives you that kind of info. My suggestion is that you research which GPS sytem, IE. sendero, Trekker or any others that will suit both your budget or needs. Hope this helps and take care.
Armando

Hi Debbie,

Yes, very interesting!
You just reminded me of one of the most interesting then off the beat tourist sights in Los Angeles. there is a street called Alvira Street which is aroudnn the downtown area of LA. I think that I was only there once ... Why would I go touring if I live there?!

We must have gone there once with a relative who was visiting from out of town. Very very interesting ... A little taste of Mexico.

Shayna

P.S. Your other post came through twice.

Hi Shayna, yes, it's OT, but interesting to me, anyway. To bring this back to GPS, though, I think part of using GPS is the ability to go to different places, and along the way to experience various cultures--food, songs, etc. Even within the U.S. there are so many things I don't know about, places I've never been. Ah, someday! Debby and Cleo
