[gps-talkusers] gps and intersections

Hi, listers,

I went on my first walk and had the intersections voiced every six seconds.
It was awesome.  I am still using version 2 and my question, more a
curiosity, is how come sometimes the gps says, "On Maple, Harrison 234 feet
ahead" and other times it says while I'm still walking in the same
direction, "On Maple, Harrison 216 feet ahead and to the right" and ten feet
later it says, "On Maple, Harrison 206 feet ahead"?
