Hello all
I used my braille note gps for the first time last thursday. The gps has
opened an exciting world. I am real hesitant when it comes to anything new.
This is especially true regarding any kind of technology.
Iworked with Mike Gibson from Humanware. We met on the 16th street mall in
downtown Denver. This is an outside area covering several blocks. It was so
cool sitting their hearing all the different places that were around me. We
also virtually explored Grand Junction where I currently live. We walked
around some but this proved very difficult because I was trying to read the
display and work a dog at the same time. I went shopping with a friend the next
day. I told her the names of some of the buildings we were passing and the
streets we turned on.
I think the gps tutorial will be the first one I will read from cover to cover.
I tend to look up the information for the immediate task I want to perform.
I need a better way to anchor my receiver, though.
I just had to share my excitement.
Rita
