Hi Mary Ellen,
I am glad you like the new 6.0, we worked hard to make this as intuitive as
possible so great to hear you agree!
Sorry about the whole resetting of the pedometers when exiting the program
this was an unfortunate side effect of always unloading the GPS module (ie.
to save memory) when GPS is not running.
This is something we will fix in a future release, hopefully the next but
you never know. I would also like to expand the whole Pedometers to also
have a lifetime pedometer which can be reset independently, but not sure if
that will make it in yet or not :)
Take care,

Subject: [gps-talkusers] gps 6 working like clockwork:
Hi!
Just came back from version 6's maiden voyage, and a wet one it was too! So
far it was a breeze to install and works like clockwork. I really love the
new address features especially, and enjoyed the sailing mode as well. What
I _don't even slightly like and I'm going to keep on about this is the
pedometer's setting back to zero every time you exit out of the program.
This was removed in version 5, thus I did not like version 5. But, I have
learned how the poi lookup works now and everything is just so sensible. In
the sighted gps's you can actually use a zipcode to look an address up. I
played around and looked up restaurants on just one street and what fun!
Anyway, well done except for the pedometer's setting back to zero.
