Hi Mike,

If you could elaborate on how your GPS system functions in an area
without map support, this would be helpful. I assume that you basically
use the system to create your own points of interest, and then navigate
using these user created POIs?

I wouldn't rule a place out just because we didn't have street maps 
available. I travel to lots of places like this and the GPS is still 
very helpful. I haven't been to Japan in about 10 years and would 
love to visit again.

There would be an advantage to traveling to a country in Europe where 
we have maps assuming all other factors were attractive. The dog 
factor may be something to be considered as well. If we were to have 
maps by next year for Australia, this would be a good incentive for a 
trip there. It is all speculation at this point but something to kick
around.

We have had the Way Fun trip the last 3 years in mid September after 
the peak summer travel season. I know this limits people who teach or 
are students.
