Well there is no escape on the bt 32 just hit space with E.
Yes, alas! Our pois are mizerably out of date but Mike told us not too long
ago that they are working with a new company to fix this.

Subject: [gps-talkusers] escape key
I got my new GPS a few days ago and boy there is a lot to learn. I had been
studying the manual before receiving it and thought that I could navigate it
pretty well. Well for my brain the learning curve is rather steep. For
example: Using a Bt32 and reading the user's guide I keep seeing the
reference to the escape key. What do you do on the bt32?
when I took my GPS out for a spin for the first time last night I noticed
that a lot of places in my little town of about 16,000 people are either
unnamed, misplaced, or they no longer exist. My wife was sure getting a kick
out of the GPS telling us about places that no longer exist. Some of the
places that have moved show up as the old address. And the last one for
today: The street that my ofice is on 106 Arthur in Sikeston, MO doesn't
even exist.
Having said all that, and less than 48 hours in to my GPS experience I have
to say: Keep on Truckin' Mike May; yah did good!
