Jeff,
We would definitely love to see users creating any and all user points of
interest they can. This information is made available to all users. In
fact, the latest User.bpi file is available for download at
http://www.senderogroup.com/download.htm
Make sure to read the explanation about these collective users points
before copying the new user file.
A few of you have written me off list asking who you should approach at
your local transit company. I recommend asking for the head of engineering
or technical services. If that doesn't work, ask for someone in charge of
accessibility and they should be able to get you to the correct person.
This is also called Geo Coding. If they have such a database, put them in
touch with me and I'll take it from there.
What we need to know is if their database of bus and transit stops have GPS
position coordinates.
