[gps-talkusers] Re: editing the maps

No, but you can submit changes to the Teleatlas site and hope they make it into the next map upgrade.

Have a great day,
Alex

I've asked this before but have received no answer yet. Is there
anyway to edit the maps to fill in the unnamed streets and correct POIs that are builtin?

Hi Peter,
The day the message came on the list I put it into our
bug/feature
tracking database.
Some major issues were fixed under the hood in 5.03 not to
mention the
spell command now works properly. Rest assured, it is on our
radar.

Hi Charles,

Thanks as ever for your work on the upgrade. With each of the
incremental 5.0x upgrades I've been hoping you would put back the
missing compass directions in POI searches. I posted to the list
and
several people agreed that it was a shame to lose this
feature. Chris G said it would go on the list. Is it hard to
put it back?

In case it's not clear what I mean, whenever your heading is
established, and you do any kind of POI search, the direction is
given as "left", "in front" or whatever, but in 4.x, after that
information, it would also give the compass direction. I do
sorely
miss this feature, both for orientation and for exploring points
further away.

Best,

Peter

Hello Sendero GPS customers
For Immediate Release Sendero GPS 5.03

For those who already have GPS 5.0, 5.01 or 5.02 please log into
your Sendero account at http://www.gosendero.com/ to obtain your
free upgrade to GPS 5.03!

This upgrade fixes the following issues: Improved POI directional
searching, fixed issues where the spell command would not spell
out
street names or POI information, upgraded to the latest POI
database
engine, minor cosmetic issues and other minor improvements, and
additional countries added: Belgium, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.

Don't forget to verify your downloaded file size matches that of
the
original file so there are no corrupt downloads. If the file
size
doesn't match after it has been downloaded, your file is probably
incomplete and you should delete your Internet cache and try
downloading it again.

You do not have to un-install your old version but you will have
to
do a 123/sdf reset before you install 5.03. If you hear the
message
that some DLL file is in use then you haven't preformed the
correct
reset and should try again holding down 123/sdf and the reset
button
on the mPower or on the PK C3/C4 and dots 123.

For SDK holders a new SDK with this build will be released
shortly
and should have no impact on their development.

Thanks
